Lucas Stickley-Miner is a dynamic trumpet player hailing from the vibrant city of Columbus, Ohio. Currently based in the heart of Detroit, Michigan, Lucas has become a sought-after freelance performer known for his versatility and passion for music. With a focus on jazz, pop, and hip-hop genres, Lucas has carved a niche for himself in the music industry, captivating audiences with his soulful melodies and electrifying performances.

Born and raised in Columbus, Lucas discovered his love for the trumpet at a young age. His musical journey began with classical training, but it wasn't long before he found his true calling in the world of jazz. Inspired by legends like Roy Hargrove, Nicholas Payton, and Freddie Hubbard, Lucas honed his craft, delving deep into the intricacies of improvisation and rhythm.

After attending the Ohio State University and studying with the acclaimed Byron Stripling, Lucas went on to earn a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from the prestigious Michigan State University jazz program where he studied with Anthony Stanco. Lucas has had the opportunity to perform with incredible musicians such as Byron Stripling, John Clayton, Jeff Hamilton, Carmen Bradford, Dwight Adams, Bobby Floyd, Walter Blanding, Rodney Whitaker, Randy Gelispie, Michael Dease, and more.

Beyond the stage, Lucas is a dedicated educator, sharing his passion for music with the next generation of aspiring musicians. He teaches private lessons and workshops, instilling in his students the same love and dedication to the trumpet that has driven his own musical journey.
